Isaac

Isaac was born on February 3, 2004.  After 7 weeks of preterm labor which resulted in multiple hospital stays and strict bedrest, Isaac was born healthy and adorable!  After being home with Isaac for a few weeks, he started showing signs of severe acid reflux:  screaming constantly, vomiting after every feeding (not just a little spit up - we're talking hosing down mom after every feeding kind of vomit).  It took a billion dollars in tests at Riley Children's Hospital to figure out that Isaac needed a little Zantac.  After about 5 months, we started seeing improvement. Once we got his pain under control, Isaac was a sweet, happy baby!
The name "Isaac" means laughter - and boy has he ever lived up to this!  Our Isaac is a comedian and really thrives on the laughter of others.  He wants to drive monster trucks and race cars and be a pilot when he grows up!  He loves art and takes part in our local University's art classes whenever they are offered.  He loves all kinds of music and never ceases to bring me to tears when I hear him singing his heart out during the worship time in church.  Isaac needs to feel needed and loves to take care of his younger siblings - most of the time he's a better parent than I am!  I often find him praying with Alex or Emma and he is currently trying to teach Alex (who just turned 4) how to read! - More power to him!
I am so excited to see what kind of man Isaac turns into.  I'm sure he will be even more amazing than he is now!
