Elijah

On February 25, 2002 Elijah Quinn was born and Quinn and I became card-carrying members of the Parent Club.  No one told us when we signed up for this exclusive Club that it would be the most terrifying and rewarding experiences of our lives... (well, I'm sure someone told us, but I probably thought they were exaggerating!).

Despite being our guinea-pig for parenting, Elijah is turning out to be quite the amazing little man - (Glory be to God!).  He is currently a green belt in Taekwondo where he has competed in several tournaments - and won the title of 2011 National Sparring Champion for his age group.  Taekwondo has been a wonderful outlet for him and has taught him self control, responsibility, respect and discipline (Glory be to the Conn Family!).  Elijah also plays soccer every fall and has grown to really love the game.  Quinn and I have enjoyed watching him mature through this game and step up and be a team leader.

Like his Dad, Elijah loves to build things - anything really.  He loves spending hours in the little woods behind our house building traps for critters and forts for him and Isaac. He's a thinker, an inventor, an athlete, a teammate, a cuddler (don't tell him I told you that), and a wonderful big brother!

We thank God for this boy who is becoming a young man right before our very eyes.
